Café José - Stamford

My first day in Stamford and I were happy enough to stumble over Cafe' Jose. Wonderful food! Wonderful service! I come back several times a week.

Cafe Jose offers the best Empanadas in Stamford. The selection includes Chicken Burrito, Guava and Cheese, Ham and Cheese, Spinach and Chicken, Beef, Chorizo and Pork. I love the simplicity and quality of the service. The price is much acceptable and much lower than most restaurant in downtown. The portions are exceptionally generous, a dish is good for two. Apart from the soda, everything serves HOT. Waiting time is short. It looks like the café has a capacity to serve up to 30 people at a time. It is only a matter of time; I predict this place will grow fast. Very recommended.

Great value and great to have more latin dishes here in downtown Stamford beside tapas, mexican and peruvian. I had the chicken soup, had real chicken stall with potatoes, delicious. I also had the chorizo and chicken roasted rice, would order again. The owner and the front person were sweet and welcoming.

Excellent, homemade food. José himself does everything. I am a fan of brewed chicken, genuine healthy comfort food. Also: no plastic utensils! Eco friendly!
