This is convenient for me as the nearest major Korean grocery store is over a half hour away. There is also a Japanese grocery store about 2.5 miles to the west and an Indian market next door. However, having something so close and within walking distance is definitely a plus. I purchased some strawberries at a great price (2 for 5), which was cheaper than at ShopRite or Stop and Shop. I also picked up some mandarins since I love tangerines and they are not sold around here. The mandarins looked really good and were possibly $1 each. In addition, they had a variety of Asian vegetables and Napa cabbage available, as well as hot pot ingredients. I will definitely be returning here when I need fresh veggies nearby. I am curious to try the restaurant as well.
The food is delicious as usual. The menu is a bit small right now, but there are still plenty of options to choose from. The Dynamite Roll is one of the best I've ever had.
This restaurant has been significantly impacted by the pandemic, but Kumo has adapted admirably. Instead of a buffet, customers now choose their kitchen and sushi selections on a paper menu, which are then brought to their table. There is no limit on how much you can order, but you must finish everything to avoid an extra charge, which is reasonable. Although there may be a wait for your food, it is worth it as everything is freshly made to order. Lunchtime even offers sashimi for just $20.99, a great deal considering the quality of the food. While prices have increased since before the pandemic, the current setup is worth it for the improved quality. Kumo has navigated through the pandemic successfully and definitely deserves support.
Good buffet dishes selection and surprisingly good taste compared to other buffets. Fried calamari, shrimp, spring roll, fried clams, fried rice and chow mien. Good Sushi variety and sashimi. Lame dessert cakes. Ice cream and chocolate fountain. 3 if us paid $80 total. Good place for kids. Attentive staff always removing plates and buffet is always refilled.
I took my family out for dinner today, I swear kumo?s , have a new owner, the food suck . The calamari was hard and rubbery , Sushi rolls were bulked up with so much rice and the salmon and tuna was dried out looking disgusting . The staff was friendly and kind . The choice on the menu was cheep and it just was not worth the price paying for it, the sea food selection was horrible oysters and mussels tasted like they wash the hell out of it with water. I will never go backthere again , it?s just awful.
