Mecha Noodle - Stamford

This restaurant offers a version of Asian cuisine that feels inauthentic. Most dishes are heavily spiced (but not spicy) and taste more like substitutes for genuine flavors. The pho was the closest to authentic, but they didn't provide the traditional accompaniments or the generous portions you'd expect from a real pho restaurant. This was disappointing, especially for the two Vietnamese friends I was with. The ramen noodles had a nice texture, but were overwhelmed by dry spices and oil that masked the broth's true flavor. The spices created a chalky effect rather than blending harmoniously with the broth. It feels like a test kitchen catering to those unfamiliar with Asian food. Unfortunately, there aren't many comparable options in the area, which is likely why they've found some success. On the plus side, the atmosphere and service were quite good. I'd consider returning for drinks, but definitely not for the food.

The service at this restaurant is outstanding. The food is even more impressive. I couldn’t get enough of the pho broth; it was absolutely delicious! The firecracker wings were quite tasty, too.

This is a fantastic place, but if you stop moving around enough they will keep bugging you.I am here at 7:00 on a Saturday, been here for 35 minutes, ordered an app and noodles.6th time while enjoying my meal, looking at my phone “hello will you like me to take that away”. NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!! There is 11 seats at the bar open and I have been here for 35 minutes.It’s rinse and repeat with this here. If you stop moving they keep at it; they keep trying to remove your plates because you are not a muppet flopping around all the time.Anyone on the spectrum speak out about this place, it’s relentlessly over the top with service.Recommendation is, if you don’t need to flip the table, stop asking if they want the plates cleared. If it’s less than 35 minutes, leave the customer alone.Edit: just needed to get out of there. While typing this I was asked again if I was done; I just needed to get out. Wasn’t even there for 45 minutes. $56 bill, just trying to read the news on my phone and enjoy my food.

Fantastic Pho restaurant in the heart of Stamford. Typically pretty busy and for good reason; their Pho is incredible. Started off with Bao Buns and we each got our own Pho. The Pho King w/ the bone marrow and brisket was incredible, great service and great atmosphere.
