My husband and i were the only one there at this time and had the full attention of the owner host. wonderful experience explaining while tasting the wines.

Our mini bus driver was excellent so we relied on him to take us to a few 'nice ' wineries for the half day tour. He did a good job except by taking us to Whiskey Gully where the woman who behaved like a burned out frustrated head mistress, made everyone want to leave due to her abruptness and unfortunate attitude towards having to talk to patrons of her winery who were there to sample her goods. I think the concept of looking after those who have been invited to her winery especially those with a genuine interest in purchasing has been overlooked, over time. This woman needs to take a break before she scares everyone away ! Had she been 'nicer ' the group would have been more inclined to purchase more, however, being in a hurry to get away from her, only a couple of wines were purchased with our friendly bus driver wondering why. When we explained how rude she was, he commented that she quite possibly is 'over it '. There is no doubt, she should not be interacting with the public until she has had a break and quite possibly, a very long one.

Dropped in on a quiet Saturday and were immediately welcomed for wine tasting. $5 each but waived if you buy. A fascinating hour with owner describing wines, area, vineyard, climates, tasting notes and more. Went away with exceptional sparkling wine (méthode champenoise) and quiet a few, more than a few reds. Just wished we’d booked the Grazing the Granite. Maybe next year

Beautiful food, well presented with matched wines. John the chef, owner, wine maker, guitarist and singer, has a great sense of humour; made our night one to remember.
