The service is fantastic and friendly, and they offer a great variety of flavors, all in a very clean environment. Since I was a bit far from home, we went across the street to buy a cooler and some dry ice for the trip back. It was the best $40 I’ve ever spent on paletas for the whole family!
Neveria La Flor de Mexico offers authentic Mexican ice cream and fruit paletas, and we discovered this delightful spot right next to Kelley's Cookies, which serves delicious shortbread cookies reminiscent of the famed Honolulu Cookie Company in Hawaii. Everything at Neveria La Flor de Mexico is handcrafted in-house using fresh ingredients, creating a cozy and welcoming family atmosphere. The friendly family behind the counter greets every customer with warm smiles. The shop's decor features cheerful pink and white stripes on the walls, contributing to its fun and inviting ambiance. Neveria La Flor de Mexico is a family-run establishment that displays its Paletas in a freezer with flavor labels on the sliding door. Some of the unique flavors include brownies n' cream, taro, coconut, coffee with almonds, watermelon, rose blossom, and many more. They also serve traditional scoopable ice cream with a variety of unique house-made flavors. We enjoyed two paletas and a bowl of ice cream for under $9—what a steal for Stanton! It's definitely a bang for your buck. We tried the rice pudding paleta, which tasted like horchata with a sweet cinnamon flavor, and the red velvet cheesecake, a cheesecake base with pieces of red velvet throughout the popsicle. The standout flavor was the "Angel's Kiss," featuring a cherry base mixed with raisins, strawberries, marshmallows, and assorted nuts. The combination provided a creamy, chewy, and crunchy texture all in one bite. In 2010, this ice cream shop was named one of the top five under "The Best Ice Shop in OC." If you're feeling adventurous, take a trip to Stanton, CA, for some authentic and unique Mexican ice cream, and see for yourself why Neveria La Flor de Mexico made that prestigious list.
At home, their hidden gems are popsicles known as Paletas. Most of these treats are fruit-flavored, with some featuring a creamy blend. What makes them truly delightful is that they are crafted with real fruit pieces and are far less sweet than the typical popsicles you might find adorned with Scooby-Doo or SpongeBob SquarePants on the packaging.
Best ice cream in town! Everything is made onsite. Staff are all super nice. Besos de Angel is the best flavor- nothing else like it. Guayana and mint n chip are also exceptional. The paletas are great. They have a taro with coconut cream in the middle like a 50/50 bar and the coconut with a strawberry and kiwi slice is amazing too. I'm so glad I found this place!
The popsicles are awesome. Each flavor is unique and very creamy. The red velvet, tarp, coconut are great. It’s very good quality with unique flavors which justifies for the price. I haven’t tried the ice cream yet I’m still trying to try all the popsicles!
