Dick's Wings Grill - Starke

Very nice establishment. The wait staff is so friendly. Makes you feel like you walked into Cheers. We went on a Friday evening and the regulars were in and happy. The owner stopped by to talk and was very nice. The stay has been there for years and that shows me its a grat place for workers and customers. Food is good with a nice selection of wings. The IPA was very good.

As I'm down here in Lake, Butler, Florida. Just wanted to Try a new location while I was on vacation. My waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Informing me not to really try the bad things. Because the way she likes them is how I like them with meat. My pineapple beer was definitely different and I appreciate that. Food was fresh, hot and fast, very clean atmosphere.

Easy quick place with great wings! Quesadillas were excellent too. Why they finished closing up, they let us catch another inning of the world series. Thank you!!!!

So I haven't written a review in a while but here I am. I ordered carryout about a week or two ago and that experience sucked. The paper they lined the to-go box with pretty much became part of the meal. I threw it away. Tonight I wanted to try dine-in. It was not busy but it had 2 large tables. I ordered before both, it took 30 minutes for a Fried Green Tomato appetizer and an additional 30 minutes for 10 boneless wings and an order of onion rings. The server checked on me after I had pretty much finished each meal vs. 2 bites/2 minute industry standard. Even though there was enough servers on the floor it seemed like they were overwhelmed. With a clear view to the kitchen, the manager, she was plating up fries without gloves, handling the cordless phone and going back to help the line without washing her hands or putting gloves on. ARC Group, based in Orange Park, created this concept along with Fatty Patty's. They need to shop their stores more often to see how their franchisees are representing them. Will I go back, probably not, didn't have high expectations when I walked in and left with the same opinion. Wish I could have had a better experience. There are not a lot of places to eat in Starke as it is already.

If I could give it a .5 I would. when I got my wings back to the hotel, it was like the chicken and sauce had an argument in the box because the chicken was in the middle and the sauce was floating around the box. The waffle fries were hard. Like they had been sitting out for a while. If the majority of the food places in the area weren't closed, I would have taken the wings back. All in all, the bad reviews were right. The upside was the wait staff was nice.
