As others have noted, the portion sizes are quite small for the price, which is why I deducted a star. However, the taste and quality of the food were excellent. They really know how to balance spice—I typically prefer mild, while I opted for a 2/10 level of heat, and it was delightful, not just some crushed red pepper sprinkled on top. For context (not to sound pretentious), I grew up enjoying Southeast Asian cuisine and have sampled Thai food all over the world, including in Thailand. I had low expectations for a place in Starkville, but I was very pleasantly surprised!
One of my favorite restaurants in town! The food always exceeds my expectations, with just the right amount of spice and an authentic taste. The medium yellow curry is a definite 10/10!
I absolutely love Andaman Thai. The food here is far more authentic and flavorful than at Thai Siam. They use genuine Thai spices that really enhance the flavors. The only downside is that the prices can be quite steep for the portion sizes, which can be frustrating, especially when you're tempted by an appetizer that costs nearly as much as a full meal. I usually order a Thai iced tea along with an entree, which adds up to about $20 before tip. The restaurant itself is always clean, and the staff is very professional and friendly; I've always had a positive experience here.
Definitely a great place to eat at! Friendly staff and fast service! Food is amazing here! 10/10
Their calamari appetizer was $7.50- pretty high in my opinion and it only comes with 7 pieces????. The one I got from the toyo restaurant and other asian restaurants comes with at LEAST 15 pieces.. Was very dissapointed to begin with. But on the otherside the Pho and the pad thai was really good. It?s just that in both of those meals the portion of the meat was way too littlecompared to the noodles. The staff (woman) who works there was very friendly, and the interior design was modern and calm. Iloved everything except for the extraordinarily small portion of the appetizer and the meat. Btw we had another dumplingappetizer and our ticket came out to be $43 but we were barely even full. Compared to their prices it?s not really worth it.
