While it may not be as great a value during dinner, it still stands out for its diverse menu and inviting atmosphere. One suggestion I have is to make it easier to obtain extra napkins—each table is only given one per customer, and it takes quite a while for the staff to bring more when requested. This can leave you in a bit of a messy situation, covered in sauce and tears from the spicy dishes, while you wait for the server to ask every diner if they need more water.
For my main course, I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. The portion size was just right, and the chicken was tasty, but I found the gravy somewhat lacking in flavor. It reminded me more of a tomato soup. While this was a bit disappointing, the meal was still enjoyable overall. I’ve had better, but it’s definitely worth a visit nonetheless.
This is a fantastic restaurant to experience delicious Indian cuisine. We opted for the buffet priced at $10.95, which featured 2 to 3 varieties of chicken dishes and 4 to 5 vegetable sides. Additionally, there was a bar with a wide selection of sauces, yogurts, and two dessert options, among other items. The waiter frequently refilled our Indian bread (Naan), which was a nice touch. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable, with an inviting ambiance, a good temperature, polite service, and clean restrooms. While some diners were a bit loud, I took that as a sign that they were enjoying their meals. I highly recommend this place!
The Indian cuisine at this restaurant is excellent. I took my family there based on my son's recommendation the day he graduated from Penn State. Even without a reservation, we were seated right away, and the staff was very accommodating. The prices were quite reasonable for a special buffet. I highly recommend it!
While I enjoyed the variety of meals on the dinner menu, I have to say that I highly recommend the lunch buffet over dinner. In my opinion, the lunch buffet is far superior to ordering off the menu. Each time I visit, the buffet offers something different, but it has consistently been a 10/10 in deliciousness. Whenever I’m in State College, I make it a point to come here, and when I go back home, I find it hard to locate an Indian restaurant as fantastic as this one. I truly recommend this place. I also tried Indian food for the first time at the Indian Pavilion, and now I absolutely love Indian cuisine!
