Kiku Japanese - Staten Island

We decided to give this restaurant two chances, spaced out over time, just to be fair. However, I really don’t understand how it remains in business. I’d honestly prefer to buy sushi from a gas station; at least it would likely smell and taste better. The quality of their food is quite disappointing, to say the least. I can only imagine what their food safety protocols are like, as I worry it could make people sick.

The food is fresh and excellent. I highly recommend everyone to go there! Food rating: 5/5.

The waitress answering the phone was so obnoxious. she had a huge attitude and just was overall ugly. i dont get if your so miserable while doing your job why dont quit. giving this 3 stars because the other waitress was so much nicer and the food is not bad.
