Millhouse Steak House - Statesboro

I decided to order a burger since Tuesdays feature a special of $2 off any Millhouse burger. Unfortunately, the burger was nothing extraordinary, and while the fries were decent, they also didn’t stand out. However, I have no complaints about my experience; the service was efficient, I was seated quickly, and the food was satisfactory. A couple of things to note: they don’t serve mojitos, which I found surprising, and their ranch dressing is extremely thick! Overall, it was a good experience. While I wouldn't go out of my way to return, as nothing particularly wowed me and the prices were average for a steakhouse, I do wonder if a steak would have made a difference. But I guess we’ll never know.

We ordered the small portion sirloin with spinach, a dinner salad, and crab cakes to share. Everything we tried was delightful, and the portion sizes were impressive for the price. However, be aware that our food took quite a while to arrive, so patience is key. Our bartender, a lovely young woman in her early 20s, was welcoming and made sure our water glasses were filled regularly, which was a nice touch. The restrooms could use some attention, but there is ample parking available in the restaurant lot.

Unfortunately, this time, two out of our six dinners were sent back. The fish and chips consisted of tiny, flavorless frozen pieces that seemed to have freezer burn. The shrimp and grits were over-seasoned with too much salt. Our waitress mentioned that two other tables had also returned their shrimp and grits, prompting the restaurant to take it off the menu for the night. The Chicken Florentine was supposed to feature grilled chicken, spinach, and onion over penne pasta, but it was served with sliced fried chicken over linguine in a heavily peppered sauce, lacking the promised onions. We didn't send it back since it was still edible. On a positive note, the desserts were enjoyable—cheesecake and tiramisu. Our waitress, Brittany, was very attentive and apologetic. I never hold the waitstaff responsible for kitchen mistakes, and she went above and beyond to try and make things right, even removing the meals from our bill without us asking. I'll definitely return. It seems like this visit was simply an off night for the kitchen.

Never a disappointment when we go here ... Always friendly and quick to correct something if it comes out wrong. Waitresses are pleasant and seem to actually enjoy their job.

First time at Millhouse Steakhouse and was very impressed with the food, the presentation and service. Our server Tangier was super attentive and accommodated us without question when we asked to move tables. Great atmosphere with cot hole in the spacious patio, pool tables and Golden Tee. Next time we're in Statesboro we will definitely come back.
