The Hitching Post At Shale Lake

Very enjoyable, relaxing atmosphere. Arrived early and enjoyed a glass of wine with some incredibly delicious appetizers. Live music started at 6, and the deer showed up as if on cue. If you haven't enjoyed a glass or bottle of wine here, you are missing out.

Came here on our drive home from st louis to Chicago and it was incredible! Had a few glasses of Eleventh hour, blueberry and rose and ended up buying a bottle of blueberry and eleventh hour. We also got the turkey panini and Italian beef and they were 10/10. Such a great vibe and highly recommend if you're passing through the area!
