Jakob bakes a series of sourdough bread, the bohnenbrot is my personal favorite. the caffe serves a small selection of paninis and sandwiches with hummus, red pesto, olivenhahn and vegetables. I recommend the vegan pizza with a red pesto base and seasonal greens. it is not made of real pizzaty, but holiness, I think. the daily suppe varies. they also sell a series of locally produced organic juices limonade and locally roasted organic coffee. vegetarians have many baked to choose from. vegans have to make with chocolate. N.B. this is not a fully vegetarian or vegan caffe, they serve ham sandwiches, e.g.
Great brot. Vegan options are clearly marked on the map and include vegan panini, soupee, vegan salad and pizza. has juices, coffee and a small load.
The person who works was half nice, explained that all baked eggs and milk in them. they do not have an English menu, but whoever works is very helpful to find out what is vegan. delicious black bon soup, the brot is amazing.
There was a very sweet American woman working at this little joint. Totally caught us by surprise as she was speaking Norwegian as we walked in. She was incredibly accommodating..allowing us to create a hybrid pizza of sorts. It was one of the best pizzas my mouth and belly have ever encountered. Sometimes, I wake up in the middle of the night and am calmed back to sleep with visions of this incredible pizza. Also, this town has a wonderful Farmer's Market...full of chanterelle mushrooms and hot peppers which I snuck in to eat with my pizza . What more could one ask for?
