Stavely Hotel Restuarant

We visited this restaurant three times on Fridays and Saturdays when they were supposed to have a buffet, but each time we were told there was no buffet available. It was strange because there was a large sign advertising the buffet on those days.

The ordered dinner with staff and friends, it was delicious and the left overs were just as good on the second day!

This restaurant is truly the only option in the area, making it the best Chinese restaurant around. The food is delicious, with a typical Westernized Chinese menu. I highly recommend the salt and pepper chicken wings, which are massive and have just the right amount of spice. The Shanghai noodles were also a favorite of mine, and the bean sprouts added a perfect crunchy texture. Overall, this restaurant is the best in Stavely. Trust me, it's the truth.

Okay, I was just chasing the title. I was here almost immediately after spending a year in Hong Kong and China, so the food was typical North American style Chinese cuisine. But I had a nice chat with the owner about Hong...Kong, he wasn't there since the 70s.

We had to make a quick stop in Stavely and had heard good reviews about the Hotel Restaurant. It was well past lunchtime but we were craving Chinese food. The chef made it fresh and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent. Our two meals cost $21 - I had ginger chicken with rice and veggies, while my husband had the same but with noodles instead of veggies. On Friday and Saturday evenings, they offer an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet from 5-7:30. We will definitely be returning! It's worth taking a detour off the highway for.
