The chef kept leaving the kitchen to socialize with the other table, and some diners were going in and out of the kitchen, which raised concerns about hygiene. Despite spending $91 on our meal, we were greatly disappointed. The service was unprofessional and the food was mediocre, with microwave vegetables. It is rare for me to leave a negative review, but our experience was not impressive. The waiter mentioned they were busy, but with so few customers in the restaurant, it was hard to understand the delay in service.
We traveled from Melbourne to celebrate Mama's birthday at Brix. This was my third visit to the restaurant. The decor is typical of a country pub, but the lounge area is roomy. The meals are large and reasonably priced, and the service from the staff was fantastic.
Service very good and eating was excellent. good pub with real salad. would be here again. not easy to find because it is not worth visiting on the main street, but
Popped in recently early 2020) for lunch and found a quiet pub with a homely atmosphere. Inexpensive but good food with a home cooked touch . Mrs is the chef and Mr is the bartender and they do a satisfactory job of maintaining a...smooth food service, Been a few times since and the lunch has always been enjoyable. Its not haute cuisine but it is a decent feed. Beer is cold.
Really not at all impressed with the place. Really didn't feel all that welcome at all. In fact got in impression that the bar staff really weren't interested in doing their jobs. Best avoided.
