I said yes, and he said that I, we screwed up our appetizer plug he disappears. He always came by and said he was regrettable. the personal looked like nobody knew what they were doing. when it came, it was cold. we ordered dinner and he disappeared again. the manager came by and apologized for waiting. we waited for an hour to eat. the command was wrong. the part was so small that my son was still hungry. I had to order more food. poor staff, bad eating and kitchen staff looked dirty. will never go back.
I am so disappointed. We’ve dined here once a year for the past six and have enjoyed ourselves. Tonight was not the same restaurant. I made reservations for 4 and was shown to a table set for 4 with 2 chairs. The hostess disappeared. I thought she was getting chairs but after a few minutes we found 2 ourselves. The waitress was friendly and prompt. The only red sine available was a Pinot noir. It was fine. My husband ‘s lasagna was so burnt in the bottom. Inedible. My pasta was good and my sons enjoyed pizza and spare ribs. The waitress comped our wine and lasagna. That was very nice of her. It wasn’t her fault. The food took over an hour. The place was dead. I’m sad we won’t be back.
We enjoyed our dinner. unfortunately they go out of the business and end up very good. As a result, they have operated our wine bottles and are not restocked. steamboat will miss a good Italian restaurant when it closes.
Have been here a few times in past visits to Steamboat and was very pleased with the food and service. So decided to bring the in-laws and was very disappointed and embarrassed because I talked the restaurant up to them and am the one who chose where to eat. It’s as if they were closing for the season, but season doesn’t end for a few months, as they were out of a lot of items and missing menus. Food portions seemed to be smaller than I remembered, service was a lil slow and no more complimentary tiramisu. Will be very hesitant to return or recommend in the future.
Restaurant was half empty, and it took a long time for the food to come out. They ran out of lasagna so we couldn't order it. How does that happen at an Italian restaurant? Calamari tasted burnt. The kids' main course came out before ours and they were almost done before we started eating. The meal took almost 2 hours! The food was average at best, definitely not worth the wait.
