He crafted a fantastic French Martini—quite possibly the best I've had in Steamboat—and provided us with excellent recommendations. We really value outstanding service, which can be hard to find these days, and we would highly recommend sitting at the bar with Zack or perhaps at a table with Frank, who would occasionally stop by to chat and check on our drinks. The ambiance was wonderful, and the food was delicious. As someone who believes in enjoying dessert first, I was blown away by the campfire dessert, which I highly recommend. Make sure to make a reservation, as it appeared to be in high demand all night. We'll definitely return on our next visit!
We absolutely love this restaurant! We've dined here a few times, and the food never fails to impress. It's the best we've ever had. My husband enjoyed the buffalo short ribs, which were incredible, and I had the ravioli – both dishes were fantastic. We also shared a key lime dessert that was delightful. Everything was delicious! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Make sure to make a reservation, as it's a small place, but it’s definitely worth it! This has become our favorite spot to eat in Steamboat.
For the main course, we finally decided to try the duck. I have to admit, I don’t usually order duck, but this one was comparable to some of the best ribeyes I’ve ever had. It had a deliciously crisp layer of fat on top and the meat inside was medium-rare and buttery. I always leave here feeling very satisfied with my choice to dine here. While the entrées are on the pricier side at around $40 per plate, I believe the culinary experience is worth every penny.
We started with the Bibb salad, which was just okay. The dressing had a horseradish flavor that I didn't particularly enjoy. The Tuna Poke didn't seem freshly made, and its rice base had a sweet taste that wasn't to my liking. On a positive note, the Porto Fries were fantastic—hot, flavorful, and served in a generous portion. We also ordered tacos, which came in a set of three. They were quite good, but it struck us as odd to serve three for two people—why not just two or four? The Korean ribs arrived warm, though not as hot as I would have preferred. The portion was large, and the meat was very tender. However, the sauce was sweet and differed from the barbecue sauce we’re accustomed to. Our server, Brandy, was excellent throughout the meal. However, when we received the bill, we were surprised to find that the Starmont Cabernet, which wasn't particularly impressive, was quite expensive and did not see much reduction during happy hour. This left us feeling somewhat taken advantage of.
The food is absolutely delicious, and our server, Taylor, was fantastic! I've visited this place many times, and it has never let me down. The halibut was exceptional. I also love their Happy Hour and the 50% off specials during the off-season. I can't wait to return!
