We highly recommend the crispy fish and the Mongolian beef, as they were the standout dishes of our meal. You can really feel the passion in the food, and the flavors are heartfelt. We definitely plan to return soon!
I ordered a family meal that included mountain noodles, tofu with mustard greens, fermented tea salad, and a few starters. I was really surprised to see how many positive reviews this place has received because the experience was far from satisfactory and lacked authenticity. I specifically requested that no spices be added to the mountain noodle dish for my three-year-old, but they did so anyway. The total bill came to $70, but they couldn't provide a detailed breakdown of the charges. When I calculated the total based on the menu listed on their website, it should have been under $50, so I’m not sure why I was overcharged. Overall, this restaurant was very disappointing and not worth a visit.
We enjoyed a very nice vegetarian meal. The fried Burmese tofu as an appetizer and salad were lovely. And the waiter was very kind and allowed us to adapt the fish soup to the traditional Mohinga, which was delicious. I was less impressed with the noodle dishes the flavors were just so so and the noodles were plain spaghetti. The eggplant curry was very good. No chance to try dessert unfortunately.
A really wonderful hidden gem. Burmese is something you don't all that often, but if you're a fan of Thai you may be more familiar with the fishes than you think; I would describe it as similar but more rich and usually less spicy, but still made with great spices. I've been eating here for about 10 years now and am consistently pleased with everything here. The food is vegetarian friendly, the staff is very polite and the decor is comfortable as well. A truly great restaurant that is worth a try.
Very delicious. We ordered a lot of dishes including gold mountain noodles, nan gyi thote, mohinga, crispy bean sprouts and shrimp, fried tofu. Very authentic and Highly recommended. Please give it a try.
