They brought out chips and salsa which was disgusting and I'm pretty sure just a can of tomatoes with cilantro and onions cup up in it, no seasoning, Ana was our server she was really nice and patient as we observed the menu and asked for recommendations. I got the carne asada plate with no beans, extra rice and he got shrimp tacos which aren't really a menu item but that made anyway. Came out in about 20 minutes or so. The tacos were literally just shrimp in a tortilla, no lettuce, no nothing...he said they were good though lol...my carne asada was good, kind of tough but flavorful. The rice was dry and had no flavor. As for the drinks, man if you want to be laying on your ass somewhere on a weeknight, that'll do it!! I had the strawberry margarita, he had mango but it may as well just have been a glass of sugar rimmed tequila. I hadn't eaten since the morning so I just sipped but didn't even finish half, it became too syrupy.
Tonyyyyy! What a nice guy and server. Sat at the bar and ordered a margarita, all pre-made simple syrup with flavor so very sugary. Their mojito was great and tony even did a flaming shot for my friend and I even though he 's not suppose to. Tony eventually told us the restaurant was turning into a club so to prepare ourselves. My friend and I eventually ordered some food. I ended up with the seafood quesadillas which wasn 't bad and they were accommodating to my friends food allergy. Giving Señior Tequila 4 our of 5 because of the whole club situation. I get it the restaurant wants to make extra money but guys, wait until people are finished eatting. They turned all the lights off while people we eatting around the main dance area. Then have the fog machines going for so long that the fire alarm went off and the firemen came. Also, the hype man just going for ever. Next time maybe close the restaurant at a certain time and wait for people who are eatting to leave? Might go back to Señior Tequila. Might not but Tony at the bar is great.
Home to visit my family and my husband wants Tortas. (Mexican sandwiches). My parents recommend we visit this place. Now, we are usually Uncle Julio loyalist but this time we took a chance. They have so many option that after looking at the menu my husband didn't even care about Tortas anymore! The place is beautifully decorated. The colorful paintings and murals dedicated to the best of Mexico. Actors. Singers. Drink. Etc. It wasn't busy Saturday night so we were seated immediately. Service was great. Pur waiter, Eudelio, was amazing! Really on his game. We ordered the flautas and dip trio to start off. So good!!! The cheese was so flavorful and the guac didn't last long as we ate it all up. My dad can't eat over seasoned foods for health reasons. The waiter let him know that some meat was pre marinated but patiently helped walk him through the menu to find something he would like. Whatever he ordered, he loved. He didn't want to share. I don't usually like rice and beans... not even at uncle Julio but here I gobbled it all. Something about those beans that added perfect flavor to my chimichangas. And although they didn't look like how I imagined, they tasted better than I could think. Def a new family favorite.
