Their pupusas are delicious, but the excessive packaging seems to contribute to the high prices. I visited again today (my third time) and ended up with a $40 bill for 12 pupusas to go. To add insult to injury, they had the nerve to display a tip option while I was paying. Seriously? I originally asked for 15 pupusas, and my order was for takeout. She actually expected a tip! Sorry, but this kind of greed has made me decide not to return. They’ve lost a potential regular customer. What a shame.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered a whole chicken with yuca and beans, and everything was just not good. The beans lacked flavor, although they were cooked properly. The yuca had clearly been fried twice in old, dirty oil, which was evident from its appearance. I reached out to the restaurant to express my concerns, but instead of apologizing and offering to rectify the situation with a replacement order, they argued with me. To top it off, the chicken wasn't fully cooked and I had to finish it in the oven. We ended up tossing the yuca in the trash. I definitely won't be coming back.
Be sure to experience a taste of Guatemala! This authentic Guatemalan and Peruvian restaurant offers traditional dishes that are truly delightful. Everything we tried was delicious, though I was a bit let down by the Peruvian chicken, which was lacking in flavor. The pupusas were fantastic, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his flavorful steak dish. The warm homemade tortillas were a lovely touch. I can’t wait for our next visit!
This was our first visit. The food was fresh and delicious, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the restaurant was very clean. I like forward to another visit soon.
What a great new addition to the local dining scene!
