Asda Cafe - Stevenage

If you don't have a child with you, this restaurant is quite pricey. Many of the meal deal options were not available. I ended up just getting chips, which were hard. I also paid for a drink, but the dispenser was not working and there were no staff members available to fix it. To get a refund, I had to wait in line at customer services for 10 minutes. This was ridiculous.

This restaurant is fantastic for families, offering an incredible deal for a child's meal at just £1. This saved my family a lot of money. The food was tasty and the portion size was reasonable for the price. The service was good and the food was prepared quickly. However, I was quite shocked to see a large spider crawling across the counter near the food.

We purchased food from Asda and the staff at the cafe were very impolite and abrupt. They informed us that we needed to buy food from the cafe because it is not a part of Asda. Despite bringing our own food, they continued to stare at us with hostility.

In the Asda store in Stevenage there is a cafe. If you are coming from the town centre it is closest to this entrance and you can see it as you go past. I had a bit of time to kill so decided to pay a visit. You queue up to place your order and then your food is brought to your table. I had a cup of tea and a packet of crisps. I was provided with a paper cup and a tea bag. No explanation was given about where to get the water and milk but I managed to find these myself. I could see that many other people were also given paper cups for their drinks and any food they ordered was provided on paper plates. Such a shame that they do not use china crockery as this immediately raises the standard of the food offered and makes it look more presentable. PLUS! Less wastage which is better for the environment. Food for thought? The cafe was clean and well presented.

Uncooked chicken made my husband ill. They could not care less and are uninterested and won't take responsibility. Avoid
