Somisomi

We enjoyed a delicious dessert after having sushi at Kura. We often visit this restaurant when we dine out in the area.

This place was incredibly crowded. Unfortunately, they mixed up our order and we received the red bean filling with salted caramel soft serve instead of the Nutella filling with ube soft serve that we ordered. I might consider giving it another try.

Although the line may appear long, it moves quickly. The taiyaki is incredibly delicious; we tried the cheddar and taro flavors, and both were fantastic. If you have a sweet tooth, I also highly recommend their custard and Oreo flavors, which I’ve tried before and really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

Don't fall for the hype. The soft serve was below average. The macaron half that comes as a topping was chewy and mushy, lacking the light and airy texture that good macarons usually have. The waffle was just okay. The only highlight was a layer of Nutella. Their customer service left much to be desired. When we asked to sample the ice cream before ordering, they refused, even though my child had never tried it before. My daughter ordered the pink guava flavor and ended up throwing it away; I didn't finish mine either.

The soft serve and taiyaki here are incredible! I tried the ube-flavored soft serve with ahboong, along with two Oreo-flavored soft serves and taiyaki (not shown in the photo). I highly recommend this place!
