The Cabin - Stevens Point

I won a birthday party at The Hub, and the owner, Ben, was incredibly helpful and courteous in helping me set up a time for the event! The bouncer, Jamie (if I remember correctly), was also fantastic—fun and kind—and ensured that my friends and I had an amazing night! It was such a generous gift from the bar, and I will definitely return! Thank you, The Hub!

When I returned right at opening time the next day, I was told that the machine shouldn't have been operational the night before due to an error, and they didn't have my ticket. I attempted to reach out to the manager or owner, leaving my contact information for them to get in touch with me. I’m now leaving this review out of frustration. To be clear, I'm furious because I know others were playing that machine that night, and if they had won, they wouldn't have been compensated either. Ironically, the same bartender was working when I returned and tried to make up for the situation by offering me free drinks. I had expected a more professional response to the issue. To clarify, I mistakenly stated that I cashed out with $60 when it was actually $50. There were no signs on the machine indicating it was out of order, and it appeared to be fully operational, as I know several people played it that night, though they lost and didn't cash out. Moreover, I was never informed that the machine was out of order after I played, or I certainly wouldn’t have gone through the trouble of leaving a review and trying to contact them. I will not be returning.

What The Hub may be small in size, but it compensates with excellent drinks and a lively atmosphere. Relax while playing darts, beer pong, or enjoy some gaming on the Nintendo Switch. Although the space can feel a bit cramped at times, there’s always plenty to keep you entertained during your night out.

The place was great but the bartender last night was in a really bad mood and just generally brought our groups mood down. She gave off the vibe that she didn’t want to deal with us. We would have stayed otherwise because the beer pong table was fun. We wanted to play darts and had put cash in the machine and when we asked for darts she said “I don’t have any darts right now.” So we didn’t get our money back from that either. I hope our next experience is better.

Great atmosphere. The bartender, Ben, was super cool. He even gave me a hand in the bathroom when both of my arms were broken. Thanks, Ben!
