In the past this building has hosted a small neighborhood grocery store and a sequence of local diner-style restaurants. The current business has, somehow, survived the COVID-19 lock downs and reopened for several days a week (call ahead for current hours for lunch and the evening meal. The interior is clean and simple with a smattering of interesting 20th century historical artifacts. The staff, consisting of the chef and a single server, are fun, pleasant and a joy to chat with. I've saved the best for last. The food is wonderfully complex and absolutely delicious. I can't believe the prices are so low! The night we were there the special was curry chicken over rice. I ordered the special while my wife ordered their standard tuna salad sandwich. Both were spectacular, some of the best food we have eaten anywhere. (Far better than our dinner on the Champs Elysees in Paris at many times the price. The menu is indeed limited, but what's on it is certainly worth trying. I wish we lived in Stevens Point so we could patronize this place on a more regular basis. We will certainly stop by on our next visit to town.
Having arrived in Stevens Point, I researched local restaurants and came upon this place. After arriving, I was welcomed by the friendly staff, Jennifer Emma. Of which I knew then, it was a Very Choice to eat at. I ordered their clam chowder and a bottle beer (nice/limited selection). Andy’s (owner/cook) chowder was Very Good! So much so, I ordered a 2nd bowl!!! Their other selections on the menu were appealing as well. I will be returning when I’m back in Stevens Point again. And finally, I highly recommend this place to anyone that’s looking for that Hidden Gem!
Friday night fish. Andy served up a fantastic meal for us. I trust him, but fish soup curry? A big hit with both my wife and me. The side dish of rice, black sesame seed, and golden raisins also was something we don't make ourselves and we should. It was great. As always, the Andy's food not only tastes great but is healthy. Don't ignore his best-in-town burgers.
They just started making pizza. Homemade and fantastic!
Even during the Covid Crisis....Andy is managing to feed good people superior food!
