Very unassuming from the outside, but what a delight! The food is absolutely delicious, I had the special on the night which was a cheddar melt steak, meat was soft, tasty and prepared perfectly. The sauce was just to die for.. really. It came with a healthy helping of home cooked veg and chips. Service was good, I would give them 4.5 but rounded up instead of down because they don’t deserve 4), but would easily give 5 stars if atmosphere improved music, candles/better lighting etc)

One of the best restaurants I've eaten at. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. They have a unique menu and the chicken soup is to die for. The seating is very intimate and the fireplace added to the romantic vibe. There os sufficient parking out front and they have toilet facilities in the bistro. I highly recommend this place.

My wife and I visited Hanlie's and had the best lamb shanks that we have ever had in our lives. They were out of this world. The rest of the food going to the other tables looked just as good. This place is highly recommended.
