Maysan Gyro - Stillwater

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, although the atmosphere could use some improvement. However, the excellent food and service more than make up for it. My only suggestion would be to lower the volume on the TVs or play something less distracting than American music videos. The noise level was so high that I struggled to hear the waitress and hosts unless they leaned in. It would be great to see Middle Eastern music videos to enhance the overall vibe.

I ordered a gyro for lunch, and it was hands down the tastiest one I've ever had. As a newcomer to the San Francisco Bay Area, I received strong recommendations to try this restaurant. Having sampled many gyros in the past from various Mediterranean spots in the Bay Area, I can confidently say that this one is the best. The fries that accompanied it were crispy and not greasy at all, and the staff were incredibly pleasant and welcoming. I will definitely return!

I believe in providing an honest and fair assessment. It's great to have a variety of food choices available, and this little restaurant has significant potential. The service was excellent, and the food was enjoyable. However, the location leaves something to be desired. Don't let that deter you, though; they recently experienced a setback when con artists damaged their floors. Aside from that issue, the space feels a bit bare and lacks ambiance. I found the lunch prices to be a bit steep—over $50 just for lunch seems excessive. Although the food was tasty, it didn't offer much flexibility for dietary restrictions. I have specific health considerations, and unfortunately, there was little willingness to accommodate my needs. For instance, I avoid a lot of lettuce, tomatoes, and carbs, so an olive platter would have been a pleasant addition. Nonetheless, the lamb and chicken were delicious, and the hummus was fantastic. The restaurant has many areas for improvement but also plenty of strengths to build upon. We see a lot of potential here and look forward to seeing how it develops. We might even give their dinner service a try.

The food was incredible; the lamb was tender and truly delightful. The chicken had a fantastic flavor as well. I'm a big fan of the garlic sauce. I will definitely return when I'm in Stillwater. Our server was outstanding too. Overall, a great place! Thank you!
