Beautiful cabin, when we arrived, the cushions on the sofa are a little dirty and smelled of dog?? Also the plates and cups were not cleaned thoroughly and the dishwasher was filthy and stunk. I had to buy salt AND dishwasher cleaner. I had a bad stomach on the first night. The bedsheets and pillows were OK but not fresh. When I opened the oven, there was a lot of grime on the baking trays, so I bought a couple of new ones and used them. It is really peaceful and quiet up here. There is no amenities near the log cabin, there is a Coop 7 miles away though. If you are a walker this is probably perfect. Pro's : quietness, beautiful scenery, inside is comfy. Cons: nothing here, electricity meter, bring some cleaning goods with you, there is no WiFi, and TV doesn't play certain channels properly. Except for the certain dirtyness, The view from the cabin and the quietness is the only thing you get for what we paid which was £500 odd. I agree, that is so much money to pay for something free.
Great place to stay, keep my boat on the loch throughout the season, moorings are checked an maintained every year and Gus will also check on the boats and contact you if anything has happened
Unfortunatey we had to cancel due to illness. We called the owners who were absolutely lovely and understood that due to hospitalisation and a highley contagious virus we were not able to attend our dates. They gave us hoseasons contact number and told us to just re-schedule on a different date. Contacted Hoseasons who said NO! basically. Lost 95% cost of the holiday. Thank you to the lovely understanding owners and only because of them would I re-book. I would not go through Hoseasons again, no compasion, empathy or understanding.
