Lots of variety, all home made. Lovely service and the best pies you'' find around - and they are all home made. Up there with church lady pies!. Great value
We dropped into Stirling on a spur of the moment decision intent on going to the Paradise Cafe for tarts. After parking we chatted with a pair of women taking a break on a bench on the covered bridge. Blistering hot outside but cool and breezy on the bridge we stopped to ask where the Paradise was. In the conversation they suggested that Jenny's had the best burgers and given it was lunch time, we dropped in (after buying our tarts - will review after tasting them). We would not have gone to Jenny's but for the reference. Not much to look at inside or outside, the decor is very small town, mom and pop. Both of us had the Banquet Burger special, $8.99 with home fries and cole slaw. The home fries were okay, not great, not bad. The slaw was pretty typical, but was fine. The burger came on a regular white bun. The patty was moist and done between medium rare and medium. Flavour was good and there did not seem to be any fillers. A slice of cheese and some bacon, slice of tomato, some onion and if you want to add it relish, ketchup and mustard. I opted to add the relish as I hadn't had any for years. It was a good basic burger. No exotic additions, but the meat was good and cooked well. I wouldn't make a special trip to have one, but if you are in Stirling and need a bite to eat, this place is a safe bet for the burgers at least. No comment on the rest of the menu.
This is a hidden gem in downtown Stirling. It was our first visit and the experience was wonderful all around. Not fancy just good food, good service and friendly atmosphere. Just note that the address is 38 Mill St. Not Sills Rd. Glad we took the time to find it.
Took a friend there - food was good - BUT they only take cash. Who carries cash these days? While server pointed out it was noted on the front of the menu, most people go directly to the food. Luckily my friend had cash, but as it was supposed to be my treat, it was embarrassing. Should post a sign on walls or front door like Visa or Debit Card does. Disappointed....
