Sloppy Joe's Dockside - Stock Island

Pulled in to dock at Perry Hotel and Marina after a 36 hour sail from the Bahamas. Planned to have supper and the lime drink from Sloppy Joe's...shocked they are closed. What is going on? Are they opening back up? Best restaurant here.

Just trying to alert visitors as quickly as possible. This restaurant is no longer open. It was sold end of April. It sits within a marina adjacent to the hotel and no longer operates.

Nice view of the marina. The wine menu is limited but the ones we had were very good the Chardonnay and the Cab. I had the Yellow Tail sandwich and my husband had the hamburger. Both were very tasty. Sides cost extra. We both ordered the fries and they were cold. We enjoyed walking around the marina after our meal. Not planning on a return visit.

The new ownership fired all of the employees with no notice, then made posts about how much they appreciate their great employees and the locals that supported this place. (posts have since been taken down because of all of the negative backlash.)They came in the worst way possible, and alienated all of the locals and guests.

My favorite local spot! With amazing food, great music and wonderful bartenders. MUST TRY SMASH BURGER! Best I’ve ever had! The view is spectacular I couldn’t say more great things about this place! Always sending locals and non-locals to this hidden gem!! This place is a huge staple in stock island!
