The Old Kings Head - Stock

The bar staff are lovely, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in this cozy pub, complete with a glowing open fire! They have a pool table, and the karaoke nights are really enjoyable too!

Today, we visited The Old King's Head before heading to our home. We were recommended this restaurant by some residents nearby. Although we didn’t have a reservation (maybe we should have), the staff were extremely welcoming and quickly found us a table. We ordered the pork roast and a side of cauliflower cheese, both of which were delicious. The presentation was lovely as well. The service was prompt and very courteous. The only downside was that the parking lot was almost full, but I suppose it was a busy day. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for a Sunday roast!

The staff is wonderful, and there are lovely places to sit and relax. The food is always fantastic. I come here to eat and drink once or twice a week, and I especially enjoy the upstairs area and the garden terraces, which are perfect in the summer and early fall. Even during the pandemic, the outdoor dining experience was excellent. Thank you!

Simply one of the best burgers in essex. wing there, hoping to have one of the chicken burgers they did when we first arrived to find out that they had stopped doing them. decided to have a cattle burger while I was there and it is easily one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. chips were also on the site and the camp (moretti was also on the site (beerlines are regularly and properly cleaned by the view. the personal is also very friendly and useful. the place is very clean and is not too expensive. would not hesitate to be here again. Speedy and friendly service. Meals were piping hot, very well presented with ample portions. Very reasonable prices. We never felt any pressure to leave once we had finished our meal. We as a group have decided to make this our regular rendezvous.
