Bistro Rolf De Mare - Stockholm

A very good restaurant in the centre of Stockholm. The food was delicious, very good value for the money.

Terrible tourist trap! Inattentive staff who doesn’t pay attention to their customers, and is more interested in what’s going on on the street outside of the restaurant. The food is overcooked. Our company asked for medium rare steak and recieved unseasoned WELL DONE. Extremely salty fries. It took us 17 minutes from the moment we asked to pay, until we took the issue in our own hands and walked up to the bar to pay. The woman behind the desk did not egen glance at us when we said we wanted to pay, she just asked for our table number and what we ate. Very uncommitted staff and food made without love. This is a place that doesn’t meet the standards neither the quality for their customers to keep them satisfied, pleased and returning. Don’t go here.

Very poor service! The lady that served us was unfriendly. Hospitality was clearly not a passion of hers. She was hard to reach. People even had to go inside to order and get their drinks. Food was okay/ pretty good. But there are plenty places to go that serve an okay/tasty meal. The fries where great : I would never go here again and I wouldn’t recommend going here.

This may not have been as refined or welcoming as some of the other restaurants we visited in Stockholm but it was still very good and I like the fact they were trying to put a twist on some more conventional dishes like fish chips and put their own elements into it which worked really well. The traditional dishes were also well cooked and the portion sizes were fair. This also looks like the kind of place you would get very good drinks but we only had soft drinks and coffee. Like most places in Scandinavia this is not cheap, but by Stockholm standards it’s fairly good value, so recommended for lunch especially.

We did not eat here, we only sat down for a drink. It was a great spot for people watching and they had a lot of options on the menu for both food and drink.
