Unfortunately, my friend and I did not enjoy the bistec, but we both agreed that the salsas and Al pastor were excellent. This restaurant definitely deserves 5 stars, as it reminded me of home on this snowy day.
The atmosphere, the people, and the salsas all deserve five stars! I really enjoyed the vibe of this authentic taqueria with its open kitchen where you can watch the tacos being made. The concept is simple - you order and wait with your buzzer until your food is ready. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the line was short, but we did have to wait around 30 minutes for our food due to the brunch rush and a high volume of online orders. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. We ordered a variety of five tacos and a bean and cheese quesadilla. The tacos all tasted quite similar, lacking in flavor. The al pastor meat was particularly underwhelming, and the mushroom tacos were overly oily. However, the bean and cheese quesadilla was a standout - the refried beans were reminiscent of home in Southern California, just like the fried tortillas found in taquerias. Despite enjoying the quesadilla, my experience was dampened by finding a piece of plastic in my very first taco bite. While this was a disappointment, my overall rating is primarily based on the quality of the tacos.
La Neta is a fantastic spot in the heart of Stockholm to enjoy some authentic Mexican cuisine. The prices are fair and the portions are generous. The self-serve salsa bar is a nice addition and the atmosphere is lively and festive. The dishes are flavorful and expertly prepared. In summary, La Neta is a top pick for a fun and casual evening out with friends.
Coming from Los Angeles, my standards for tacos are pretty high. I have to admit, La Neta has it down. Saucedo, carnitas and other meat options with tortillas de maize o harina. Salsas frescas are self -serve and tasty. On the table is where you find the spicy stuff. The best brands of the hottest hot sauces. This taco shop is humble and easy to kick back with a beer while enjoying a plate full of hit tacos. Yum, tastes just like home.
Long live Taco Tuesday! So, this spot is super divey and lowkey. I was told that the owners want to make it feel like you are in Mexico. They succeeded! It definitely has that old country Mexican vibe. You walk down some stairs and pass a window to where you can order. They have all sorts of tacos. They even have corn tortillas! And, they double up on them! Anyway, they have the usual meats, but when I went, they were sold out of everything except the al pastor. I just ordered that. You can order single tacos or five. You'll get a buzzer once you place your order. Drinks are served straightaway. Seating, you will find, is rather difficult to come by. There are only three tables and counter seating that is always packed. The smaller table can seat five or so and the longer tables are communal-style. No worries, as everyone is friends here. Haha. Not really, but whatevs. There is an area that has cups and water pitchers to quench your thirst or put out the fire that the salsas cause. Beside the water, you'll find a buffet server that usually has rice in it. Beside all of that, you'll find the fixings to top your tacos like onion, cilantro (coriander), and various salsas. The tacos are served with grilled pineapple. You may think it odd, but it is quite delicious. I will warn you though...go for the green salsa if you cannot stand the heat. Green means go and red means no! There is a joke about Sweden being the land that lacks spice, but La Neta has definitely got the spice spotlight shining on them. Why are you still reading this? Go grab a taco!
