They graciously answered all of our questions. The restaurant is located right by the water and is cozy and immaculately clean. We even had the pleasure of meeting the chef, who was welcoming and friendly. This casual introduction to Stockholm was truly amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and delicious meal in a laid-back setting. We will definitely be returning!
Such a sympatic small bred restaurant on the seaside of Stockholms gamle town. Tasty traditional breads, several beers in tap and friendly, effective and lovely young staff. Lovely terrace stopp on a sunny autumn day.
I had a great lunch at this restaurant! The place was nice and the service was excellent. I enjoyed the variety of open-faced sandwiches and the fried fish. Each dish was a delight to both view and taste.
If you’re just wanting to know if the food is good, it is. Flavourful, fresh and nicely presented open faced sandwiches, Scandinavian style (good gluten free bread was available). Preserved fish (pickled/smoked) is the main protein but they offer cheese, avocado and poached egg options, as well. Sandwiches are small be prepared to order two or three to feel like you had a good lunch, and including one of their 30ml schnapps as an aperitif will set you back around $60 $70 Canadian. Not a cheap lunch by any standard. The food ordered was not as described on the menu however, and when we asked about it after receiving our food, were told flatly but with a smile that the menu was incorrect (in both Swedish and English). Interesting this wasn’t mentioned at the time of ordering, though! Disappointment prior to the first mouthful isn’t what we were expecting. Despite having ordered gluten free food, an “extra gluten” dessert was brought out with my coffee. I wisely asked before eating it though, thankfully (celiac), and was told she would see what dessert they had that was gluten free, and then she never came back. No explanation when we finally got up to pay and leave, either. Not overly busy at the time, so that was a bit confusing. Unprofessional, especially considering the prices but as mentioned at the beginning, the food was tasty, so I give it three stars.
For a piece of bread it was a bit expensive but it‘s worth it, because it tasted lovely. The staff was very nice, the store is pretty and they even took good care of their restrooms.
