Jolly Sailor Pub - Stockport

Myself and my parents went for lunch on Saturday and I can’t find one fault with the service, the food or the establishment itself. Dad is elderly and walks with a stick, Dave who I believe is a manager rushed to open the door for us and showed us our table. From then on the service was as impeccable as the welcome, and the food was beautiful. My dad who is very hard to please had “the best fish and chips I’ve had ever had” while mum and I had the fish pie, all of which was perfectly cooked and we all thoroughly enjoyed. Holly our waitress was attentive and a pleasure to speak with, there is such a great team here it’s lovely to see. We will definitely come back more often thank you for making our Saturday afternoon so enjoyable.

My family and I went here for a meal tonight and were really impressed. The place was busy with a bustling atmosphere and the food and service were both really good. The pub itself is very smart inside. We’ll definitely be returning.

We went for a family birthday with adults and children a challenge for the restaurant. The carvery was outstanding (make sure you have the pigs in blankets). Children's portions and menu options were perfect. Staff courteous and friendly. A great meal

Went for the Sunday Carvery my self and My Hubby wanted to try it out as there are 24 of us due to go to the Christmas Carvery very nice welcome But was a bit disappointed although like my meat sliced thin this could not be any thinner and if I had a chance to weigh it I don't think it would have weighed more than a couple of Ounces plus this is not a Cheap carvery £15 each so would expect a decent size portion of meat. We will be paying the Bill at Christmas for our Family so I think rightly concerned they may not have much meat as they Normally get on Our Christmas Outings compared to the size of the bill we will get Also when we got our Bill they had charged over £80 and a tip of £7 so said to the waitress we only had 2 Meals and 2 drinks she corrected it but no Idea how it had come to that price so will be Extra Alert in December. Compared to other Sunday Lunches we have tried out over the last month or so I would rate it as Poor for the price .

Lovely food, and very nice waitresses. I had the teriyaki noodles with salmon, really nice. My husband had a chicken breast burger which he also said was lovely, and my son had the lasagne. The service was nice and quick for both drinks and food very good experience.
