Poor food, poor service, a barman that could not be bothered to walk the two paces from his lethargic leaning post to come to speak with us just on the off-chance he might be able to get our drinks without moving! Sticky floor dry meat – but devastatingly cheap. It’s a market position that clearly makes money, and for that they should be commended. But it aint The Ritz…
Just had the best meal of my life. The dog and partridge had never been better. I love the new minimalist look to the place and the mood lighting really did it for me. The staff were super helpful and very attentive to all my needs. Thanks guys see you next week.
Ants all over the table. Food was absolutely awful, carvery was dry and tasteless. Manager caused a scene in the bar area and had a horrible attitude, shouting across the pub. Would say you pay for what you get but you don't, cheap food but doesn't mean the quality should be as poor as it was. Won't be returning, it has definitely gone downhill and I would rather take my custom elsewhere.
Had a family get together food was just warm meat was cut so fine and u got a tiny amount a wrap which should have come with wedges came with roasties from carvery
Went recently for a festive meal for 6 adults and 3 children. Young manager very helpful and generally a good standard of service and food was of a reasonable standard for what you pay. However there is another older manager who has a welsh accent who appears to hover round whilst your eating without interacting and generally being a nuisance proof that a little bit of authority in the wrong hands is dangerous. There are other establishments close to hand at a similar price point which he should do well to remember that are very welcoming and well maintained . Also on Father’s Day the same manager prevented some guests getting a second serving of the unlimited breakfast well before the cut off time as they were busy and he wanted to allow others recently arrived to be served guess he doesn’t understand the definition of unlimited.
