My recent visit to the Governors Arms hotel and restaurant in Cheadle Hulme was nothing short of delightful. Nestled on the border of Cheadle, this charming establishment exudes warmth and conviviality the moment you step through the door. The service was impeccable, with special mentions going to Erin, Nat, and Evan, who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was first-class. Whether it was their recommendations from the menu or their attentive service, they made us feel like esteemed guests. The atmosphere is particularly welcoming, inviting patrons to relax and enjoy their time whether they're there for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. The Governors Arms certainly knows how to leave a lasting impression, and it's a place I'd eagerly recommend to friends and family. A tip: If you are flying on holiday from Manchester airport why not spend the night before you fly there. You can stay in one of their fab refurbished rooms, eat in the fab restaurant, leave your car in the carpark and take a taxi to the airport. Ask Steve the manager about this i am sure he will be delighted to help.
Lovely venue, very attentive staff, food fantastic. My only negative would be the provision of a beef gravy with a chicken dish. Apart from that, perfect.
We were visiting from the USA for several days. The staff, accommodations and food were absolutely outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. Our food was consistently fantastic, so we ate most of our meals here! Breakfast was wonderful. We always stay here when we are visiting from the USA, and always have a wonderful stay!
A nice, spacious pub with a good bar and restaurant area. Really great food at a good price. A super attentive and accommodating team, led by Karren, the good humoured restaurant manager.
