Cafe Nero - Stockton-on-Tees

My elderly mother and I visited this charming café on Thursday, August 17th, 2023, after having gone to the pricey Strickland and Holt earlier in the day. This Café Nero features a similar design to their other locations, boasting large, comfortable, vintage-style chairs. The staff consisted of friendly, hardworking ladies, and the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing. We also used the Meerkat app to get 25% off our bill. We absolutely love this café!

Staff are very chatty to their friends but rude and bossy to customers. The tables were dirty, and no one was clearing away. The coffee is extremely strong and bitter It will be Costa next time……..

Inconsistent customer service, sometime Fantastic by a few and horrible disgusting by some gives a sense of feeling that Nero employees fear to greet their regular customers and I’m one of them.Or they don’t enjoy their job . Coffee Nero as a place is nice and spacious and isn’t a bad place for a coffee breakfast when they get it right . The cakes

Just visited Cafe Nero, Yarm. Every table was really dirty. I asked for our table to be cleaned. I was told ‘give us a minute’. My food was brought and I asked for a fork to eat my muffin (that was presented in a plastic bag). My response? ‘I’ve only got one pair of hands!’ NEVER WILL I RETURN TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!! My flat white was pretty dire too!

Member of staff made an error and she made no effort to correct it. Mistakes happen, that’s not an issue, but I was beyond disappointed with her response when she essentially shifted the blame onto us and didn’t attempt to rectify the issue. Overly officious would be an understatement. I’ve had a lot of good experiences in Nero and the staff are normally lovely, but this individual was awful; Yarm Caffé Nero need to sort out their customer service.
