Isla Restaurant - Stockton

2 stars because the food was still good. I would have given 1 if the food was bad. I used to love Isla but unfortunately our to go orders looks like half of what it used to be. Or maybe as compared to the San Bruno location. Or maybe it's just thislocation in Newark. Unfortunately as it was to go order, didn't realize that the portion was as if a half order until we gothome. Look at this kaldereta, it looks like someone already ate on it and left half. 4 pcs of small meat for $30something.. TheLaing was the same. Disappointing as the kaldereta was a pricey item for a small amount of food. Tried to call to complain butno answer. Will try to call again tomorrow or if mgt can reach out

Delicious Filipino food. Good ambiance. It was busy when we went there so it was a little bit loud.

Went here a month or two ago with my family: the experience was pretty average. Food quality was mostly okay and service speed for different dishes was often slow or would come out immediately. It definitely feels like there's a good amount of frozenfoods going on here, which would explain the food quality varied service speed.

Located right in a strip mall. Free public parking. Lots of choices in their menu, but lots of items were discontinued too. Busy place so expect to wait. Call for reservations for big groups.

The same way I don't go to any restaurant for the best seat in the house, I don't go to an authentic ethnic restaurant for the best service in the house --
