It looks like there is a regeneration of Pacific Ave with a lot of new stores, shops, and restaurants. La Palma is nice looking on the outside. That's what caught our eye. You walk in the front door and are greeted by the bartender and a well stocked bar. There were several people at the bar enjoying their cocktails and conversation. The restrooms are single use and large, and they are very much ADA compliant. Parking behind the restaurant is small, but since we were early, there were only a couple of cars. It was a nice experience, and we look forward to trying more of the eateries on Pacific Ave.
Excellent vegetarian options and amazing fish tacos!
Only pay with cash here. They will charge your card a tip they didn’t earn. Paid $20 for steak fajitas that had some much fat, and they forgot the tortillas. They charged my card a $20 TIP! That was not authorized. They tried to blame my company. I filed a dispute and got my money back. I will never eat here again cash or card
The burrito I got was pretty dry, I expected cheese or sauce at least, but it was just meat and rice and it wasn't really wrapped that well, it was busted open on the side when I got it, then the power went out so we couldn't get soda refills but that's not really anyone's fault. Not really the best experience I've had at a restaurant sadly.Waiting staff was nice though.
Testing out mexican restaurants to find a new spot.I test out several things before trying down the menu. Chips and salsa, flour chips, horchata, chicken tacos, chicken enchiladas, and a chile relleno. This spot is a miss. The chips were mass store bought chips flavorless and boring. The salsa was decent juicy a tiny bit of heat but needed more flavor. Flour chips were a bit undercooked but tasted alright after adding salt. The horchata is homemade but watered down too much not too sweet perfect for kiddos. Chicken taco was a hot mess. It was very greasy a nice amount of chicken but so dry and found enchilada sauce inside with lettuce. Wierd. The chile relleno was like eating a soggy sponge with a tiny chile hiding inside there. The chicken enchiladas were the best out of everything we ordered along with the flour tortillas.
