The Creamery - Stockton

I've visited this restaurant multiple times, but after my last experience, I won't be returning. The place was dirty and had a foul odor as soon as I walked in. The service was also disappointing; it took an eternity to receive our drinks and have our orders taken. After sitting for about an hour and watching two other tables leave in frustration, I decided to get our food to go, only to end up waiting another 20 minutes for it to be ready. This restaurant has definitely declined, and I wouldn’t recommend it in its current state.

I enjoy dining here with friends after our Sunday morning church service. I first visited this restaurant in 2018, and now it's 2022. The COVID lockdowns have impacted the business, leading to some staff shortages, so you may experience longer wait times. However, I believe the prices are reasonable considering the quality of the service and food they provide. The portions are generous. Every time I walk in, the manager greets everyone warmly. I always make sure to tip the staff, as they consistently go above and beyond to ensure a great experience for their customers.

I visited this restaurant for lunch with some family members, and we had a wonderful experience. From the start, the staff was friendly, and the establishment was spotlessly clean. I believe the person who took our order might have also been the chef, as we had a couple of special requests—nothing too major, but still a few adjustments. When our food arrived, it was exactly as we had requested. Everything we ordered was outstanding, and there wasn't a single thing that needed improvement. I recall the person who took our order mentioning that their shakes are fantastic! By the time we finished our meal, we were all too full to try a shake, but I’m sure they’re excellent. Next time, I’ll definitely save room for one. Overall, it's a fantastic place, and I plan to return!

Full disclosure, we didn't stay to eat. The menu looked good, there were tons of options for everyone in the family and we were seated right away and greeted quicked by our server. But the place was filthy. The table was dirty, the menus grimy and the smell hit as we walked through the door. Maybe just the result of a busy Saturday, but if the front of house looks and smells like that, I can only speculate what's behind the kitchen door.

This place started off to be our new favorite place to go! Tonight, my wife had liver and onions for the 12th time in about three months! I have two observations! The first is the salad dressings are not to my liking! Sooo, I rarely have salad with my meals! The second is someone in the kitchen is too good of pepper! Black pepper! The staff is terrific! All of them!
