Lighthouse Picnics - Stockton-on-Tees

The Ferryland Picnics are DELICIOUS! We are SO glad we drove the extra miles to see the lighthouse and have a picnic. Be sure to order the day before from their website. The staff are very friendly and the food is great!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options too.

This trip to the lighthouse was our first outing upon our arrival in Newfoundland and it was certainly a great way to start a 7 day stay on the island. The location was lovely, the sunshine plentiful, the food delicious, and the providers of all this joy were helpful in all tthings as well as informative about the history of the lighthouse. Loved just sitting at the picnic tables and feeling the breeze and taking in the wildflowers and the views from the cliffs. The only cautionary thing I would say is the walk from the parking to the top of the cliff was a bit strenuous and rough. There was a jeep that went up and down to assist people who found the journey daunting--my group decided to take advantage of it ourselves for the journey back to the car. If I am ever blessed enough to see beautiful Newfoundland again, I would most certainly do this again! Robin Woolsey

Omg this was the most amazing experience! The food, location and experience....all incredible! I had the veggie sandwich and my husband had the chicken curry. Both exceptional! You pick your picnic up inside the lighthouse. They also have cookies there so bring cash. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They even had blankets! It is about a 10min easy hike from parking lot in medow to lighthouse. A must do experience!

The hike was lovely, the food was excellent, the view was spectacular, the hosts were the best. You will not be disappointed with a few hours spent here.

Don't miss the chance to experience this place . Scenery was wild and spectacular . Food was good but pricey ,so you're paying for the whole opportunity to be here . Would do it again .
