Our Christmas meal at the restaurant was a disappointing experience. Despite booking in advance, some of the food we had chosen was not available, and what was served was running out. The side dishes arrived late, and some of the main dishes were not up to standard. The Christmas puddings were not well received either. Overall, it was the worst festive meal we have ever had at this restaurant. The service and atmosphere did not make up for the poor quality of food. Many other diners were also unhappy with the lack of options at the carvery and the overall quality of the meal. We will not be returning for our festive family meal in the future. Food was off poor standard which I expected being a chain pub. The most shocking was that we were asked to leave because our time was up before all of our party had even had there pudding brought to us. Honestly poor customer service Worst I’ve seen in a while. I did complain but the I’m guessing some type of duty manager who said he would return with some type of compensation simple did not return If a company is not able to deliver a decent experience on Christmas Day best to not offer service than provide poor effort. Unfortunately booked a table here for family Xmas get together. Was empty, no atmosphere. Having been told on phone could order from main menu or have carvery on, arrival was told only carvery available, which looked tired, so we left. Atmosphere: 1

There was only the carvery available which was absolutely fine with us but it was disgusting, not very warm, overcooked and undercooked veg and very dry meat, in most parts unedible. The cocktail pitcher we had was also not nice, we left most of it. All in all it was a complete waste of money. An anniversary to remember Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Shirley was absolutely fantastic and incredibly attentive. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying the Mixed Grill and the fries.
