The Furlong Tavern - Stoke-on-Trent

I just arrived home after enjoying the best meal we have had in a while. The staff were fantastic, and the food was delicious with large portions. I ordered the tandoori sizzler and ended up taking the rest of my chicken home with me. Thank you very much, can't wait to come back xx

We went to this restaurant for a family meal. An older woman who claimed to be the bar manager came to serve us. One of our guests who has autism was having difficulty speaking, but the woman rudely told her to hurry up because our table was only booked for an hour. She then walked off as if serving us was an inconvenience. The food was not the best. As we were finishing our drinks, we were all horrified to see the same woman shout at an elderly gentleman because his walking stick had fallen on the floor, calling it a tripping hazard. She completely humiliated the poor man. We will definitely not be returning to this restaurant.

Booked a evenings out with friends, arrived Seated at table then things started going downhill. The waitress never offered menus so after 15 minutes we got some of the bar. Still no service called the staff member after another 10 minutes when she was serving another table. Food ordered and it came quickly and the food was very good. Staff collected dishes took our orders for desserts, again felt totally abandoned as after going and reminding the staff about our order after an hour of no further service we decided to call it a day with no dessert delivery. Completely disappointed with the service and informed staff of that effect. Food recommended service worse I have experienced in years.

Popped in for tea as we hadn't been here for a long time. We bought drinks from the bar and ordered food from the table, we both had steak and ale pie it was delicious the steak melted in your mouth. Service was good they were really friendly the only thing I don't like is the table set up it feels like a school canteen other than that it was really nice.
