Fast service, delicious waffles with fresh peaches, special. Everything was very good. If anything, the agitator was a bit dry, but that happens now and then.
Get a quick and friendly service there early. Prices on the higher side, but perhaps fair for the beach. Everybody was happy. Service could not have been more friendly.
The pancake house is beautiful, it's a kind of diner. I went there a few morning to breakfast. Atmosphere is really pleasant and service is fast. Our waitress was so friendly, always around us. The prices are higher than in other places where I was, but this is New Jersey, and especially Stone Harbor. It's worth it! Stone Harbor is like heaven on earth, everything you can imagine in your perfect world is there! I'll be back. And the Pancake House by Uncle Bill is one of not so many places where you can have breakfast.
The food was really good and our tablekeeper was great. The reason for one star was the horrificly rude customer service at the endkeeper and the cashier. When we came in, she sat on her phone and when I said a table for two, she looked irritated that we interrupted her phone time. She went past us, took two menus and without saying, following me went to a table falling the menus and went back to the kitchen. It was so abruptly rude that it was honestly a bit funny. She came back about 15 seconds later and without stopping at the table, made a driveless drop of loose cutlery (our fantastic waitress noticed this problem when she came to the table). The most interesting part of our encounter was that she never spoke a word to us all the time she sat on us, which might have been for the best in view of their bad customer service capabilities. 1/10. After our waitress fell the bill at the end of the meal, she told us to have a big day and pay at the cashier. She was very good during the meal. 10/10. Next, checkout. I went with the check and asked if they took cards that she said yes and took the check and the card. Your checkout system included no way to tap, yet I got an entrance or pen to write a tip. Since no way to drink was given to me (I, like many people, don't carry money) there was no tip at the time when the checkout ran the card. Then she said, oh, so you're just not on it? To whom I answered, surely, give me a hint and I will. She then said that her system didn't do this and I asked, how would you type? She said she'd only write $6. I told her to do 5 and go out. If your system is so old, do not give options for customers who pay with credit/debit cards to type an option that 's on you to get clear tips need to be verbalized, not to be passive-aggressive and accept/accusate customers do not want to tap. It's up to you, not the customer. 1/10. I always try to go to Uncle Ben when I'm here on vacation, but I think I'm going to find another institution that enjoys their customers a little more, especially given the Christmas in the July theme they had made. Sweet reindeer having tapes doesn't mean that you can treat customers so repulsively a rude, but maybe this is a new business model that I don't get. 1/10.
