Beto's Alt-mex Rapido

The place was great and the lady was very friendly and I was there with friends and made an order which my friend paid. I am a weird eater so I ordered a chicken taco with onion as I allergic to peppers and a chocolate empanada. Great we picked up and headed home. When I opened my taco it was full of peppers and guacamole and didn't have chicken I felt. I even called the lady and all she had to say was I am sorry our veggies come pre -mixed no gesture offered. She could have told me that when I was there. Then in top of that there wasn't even any chicken in it.

Wonderful empanadas... both savory and sweet. Wonderful addition to the Northside and will absolutely be back

Stumbled across this little gem today. The owner was really nice and helpful. The fish and Al Pastor tacos are amazing! Also the Chicken Poblano Empandas, holy pollo! Love this place and found me a new go to spot.

Really wanted to like this place. It 's cute and eclectic. I 've heard great things about the original. But, after our second visit, we won 't be returning. Spent a good deal of money on a variety of empanadas ordered to go. Got home and noticed the empanadas were barely above room temp and NO SALSA was added to our to go order. I mean, even gas station mexican food comes with complimentary salsa. Wouldn 't be a problem if these empanadas weren 't so dry. But they are the driest empanadas I 've ever had. They are begging for a sauce, a queso, a salsa, a dressing, something. It 's unfortunate, because the flavors are actually really good. Ended up reheating all the empanadas in the air fryer and making some homemade queso to go with them. Worked out, but when I pay for takeout it 's so I don 't have to cook. If alt-mex means giving up the traditions of piping hot food and complimentary salsas and dressings, I 'll stick with Tex-Mex. Honestly, Taco Cabana would 've been a better experience for a fraction of the price. Very disappointing.
