This was the best brisket, potato salad and cabbage I’ve had since we moved to San Antonio. The customer service was amazing and we will definitely be back. Food was so good I forgot to take pics. ?

We were in town for the weekend, first time in SA. Wanted some authentic BBQ. This place is modest looking from the outside, but super friendly and welcoming inside. Had a nice conversation while waiting for a big pile of brisket, sausage, yams and beans. These are good folks serving up great food and smiles. Well worth straying from the Riverwalk area and finding this little gem.

After a long day on the road I googled BBQ and Skinny Black popped up. When I showed up everyone was very welcoming and helped me pick out a great sampler! The brisket was like butter and the ribs were meaty and had nice smoke on them but the potato salad stole the show for me and the mac and cheese was heavenly. My only regret is that I cant remember everyones name so I can thank them personally. Go here it is home cooking from a loving family! What more could you want!Parking: Just a few spots in front but plenty on the street
