My friend said she liked it more than I did. She had cheddar quiche which was cheesy but not quite hot enough to melt the cheese, and I had the spinach and feta quiche that had no taste whatsoever. It was like the feta and any seasonings including salt and pepper were forgotten. The pastry was tender though. My friend tasted it and agreed it was lacking in any flavour at all. No salt and pepper on the table either. I had to get up and track the server down. Coffee was either a bargain brand or not fresh. The server was working alone so maybe she was stressed out and that's why she wasn't very welcoming or friendly. The veranda was echoey with 2 other tables of 4 so hard to chat. I washed my hands in the washroom but could only get boiling hot water out of the tap no matter which way I turned the faucet. I won't be back.
I had a 12:15 reservation and the English Breakfast Tea and Quiche were already sold out. I don’t like the Sunday Brunch limitations.
My sister and I love to come to McLeod house, however this visit we had to wait almost an hour for lunch, and it wasn't busy, the food was good but far too long a wait then we went upstairs to shop and really found very little merchandise and a lot of it wasn't priced so we didn't know if it was a prop or decor. A little disappointed
It seems the meals are getting a little smaller and more expensive. That is too bad I realize expenses are going up it’s a hard situation all around.
We were seated at a very small table when there were several other larger tables that remained unoccupied. Would have been a more enjoyable dining experience.
