Rizbowl - Stoney Creek

My daughter and I stopped by this restaurant for lunch, one of our favorite places for a satisfying meal at affordable prices. We each chose a different lunch special - I had the beef dish with flat noodles, my husband had the beef brisket with turnips, and my daughter had the chicken dish with thin noodles. Each special came with a choice of won ton soup or hot and sour soup, plus a spring roll. The portions were generous and we left feeling full. My husband always takes leftovers home, and this time my daughter did too. I particularly enjoyed my dish. The restaurant is family-owned, with the mom serving and the dad cooking.

I must say that the food went downhill with new owners. I had some beef dish. Beef was very mushy in texture and flavour was not great. I wouldn't eat there again without some improvement. One nice improvement is the look of the outside and inside of restaurant.

The Riz Bowl used to have amazing lemon chicken. Not so much anymore. But the Cantonese Chow Mien was very good.

Ordered family dinner for 4 for pickup on my way home from work. Ordering process was very simple. Unfortunately I was delayed - they had called me twice to find out if something had gone wrong (I had my phone off). When I finally got there they apologized if the food was not as hot as it should be - even though it was my fault. They also suggested calling to change the time, so that the food would be perfect. Level of service that went beyond my expectations. Got the food home and it was DELICIOUS. Best chicken balls in a very long time, not greasy, not over salty.

This is a wonderful little family run restaurant located downtown Stoney Creek. I have ordered from them a few times and it is always hot and delicious. We ordered a large party size order this afternoon for pick up. Staff is friendly and make your business feel appreciated. Your order is verified before being placed and is always correct. Every order packaged in solid containers filled to the max, with loads of assorted sauces, napkins, utensils, cookies, menu. Everything is quality, cooked properly and absolutely delicious. Prices are VERY reasonable. You also get 10% off for pick up. Parking easy to find out front, or there is a rear lot. No issues with the food being ready and hot even on New Years eve as they are open for lunch. This place is a winner
