Contribuisci feedbackThose who manage the motel hotel is an excessive definition , should avoid keeping rude and incompetent staff at the reception. Arrived on August 9th in the afternoon, the employee on duty says that there is no reservation everything already paid!! , therefore he makes us pay again for the rooms, assigning us a room with a broken air conditioner that dispensed hot air. We go back to the reception and we are told that it will be 30 minutes before someone comes to look at the problem !!! . Given that after an hour ie 30 minutes after the scheduled time no one showed up in the room to see if the problem could be solved, the attendant was also resentful because we went back to ask for a solution. Luckily in the end they changed our room and the next morning they found the reservation and gave us back the money paid. If you go to Death Valley, you also accept a somewhat spartan structure, but given the price, I invite those in charge to chase away such rude and arrogant employees who lead to an inevitably bad opinion!! Don’t come here if you are Black or African American. While employed the staff called me racial slurs and watched me everywhere I walked in the park. The other black staff I worked with said they experienced the same discrimination, prejudice, and disrespect from staff members and management. You can’t prove that they don’t like black people because their to smart to get caught but the way they treated me and others proves that most people wouldn’t want to work for them unless you can deal with verbal and mental abuse from your management which tried to have me fired for speaking up about how I felt about things. The kitchen is in disarray; some staff members like Edward J Schell, Jevette L Miller, and Deborah Lewis refuse to follow hygiene protocol while preparing food. Such as washing hands, wearing a hairnet, and basic food safety protocol. The company will be under new management in January 2024 so hopefully there will be a change. Nearby activities: Souvenir shop. Gift shop and local sand dunes Safety: Safety is a must. Always carry water 1 gallon or half a gallon when exploring the park. Always wear sunscreen and have a gps for directions. Food drinks: The menu is good. Solid choices and everything is prepped a day prior to cooking. Hotel in an excellent location, breakfast not included but with 10 a self-service breakfast is served including everything (excellent value for money), average room. Good market for both food and objects and petrol station. Defects: very noisy air conditioning and above all the presence of many crickets and small cicadas in the room, they also enter from the door jamb and from the fire tap, they should make sure to avoid this thing as much as possible, I have sent out at least fifteen of them, if it happens someone who impress him refuses to sleep in the room. The hotel is very well placed in Death Valley but invaded by CRICKETS. The rooms are modest but again overrun with CRICKETS. The wifi only picks up in the reception. There is no cold water, only hot water. However the restaurant is good. Rooms: 1 Service: 4 Location: 4
Room infested with grasshoppers, impossible to sleep. I sincerely think it is normal that in such a place there may be insects but the room should be equipped to avoid their presence as much as possible. in such a situation you can't find so many holes in the wall from which bugs keep coming in. the air conditioner, in addition to making an absurd noise when in operation, was full of grasshoppers that kept chirping. in the bathroom there is only boiling water and insects are sprouting from the shower drain too.
