The food was also excellent hang on to the chef ! We booked four rooms all of them were tastefully decorated and well equipped. The Stag is very old so there are some wonky stairways and the room sizes are reflective of the age of the building so cosy versus commodious! Rooms: 5
Excellent pub lunch after a long hike. Steak and ale pie for 2 was a winner.
Fabulous. All the charm and esthetic with an affordable price tag. Next time look forward to trying the lunch and dinner, but breakfast was ace. Noteworthy details: Would be good if they told us they could not give us the keys past 10pm. We squeezed in right before they left for the night.... Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Romantic, Great value
We stayed at the Stag at Stow for a weekend in September. A family get away for my stepdads 70th birthday. We had 4 rooms, all with their own unique style. They were cosy, clean and cute. And gorgeously designed. The hotel itself was lovely and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect for wondering around Stow. We also dined in the restaurant on the Saturday evening...and the menu choice was excellent and everyone commented how tasty the food was. I'd highly recommend booking this hotel for a stay in the Cotswolds. I'd love to return for a visit in the future. Plus, my dog Stanley loved it too...dogs are very well catered for.
Really nice hotel, enjoyed our short stay. The staff were helpful and friendly and the evening meal and breakfast was excellent. Would stay here again for sure. Rooms: Old world style but comfortable and everything you needed. Hotel highlights: Romantic, Kid-friendly
