Contribuisci feedbackHaving eaten here once 6 years ago, we had to return during our one night stay in Stowe recently. We wanted to sit on the patio, and knew that reservations on the patio were not an option, but we only waited about 20 minutes when we got there before a table became available. It was as wonderful as we remembered. We did not have appetizers as we wanted to ensure we had room for the meal and dessert. My husband had the Pistachio Encrusted Venison with blue cheese. He enjoyed it very much, although he found that the blue cheese somewhat overpowered the taste of the venison. I had the Chicken Razorback (sauteed chicken breast, wild boar salami, roasted red peppers, melted cheddar, parmesan on mashed potatoes and sauteed mixed vegetable superb! This was all washed down with a wonderful Zinfandel and the meal finished with profiteroles for my husband, and key lime pie for myself made onsite. Both desserts sublime! This was not an inexpensive meal, but our waitress was lovely, the service excellent and the food fabulous. Highly recommend!

We love coming here each visit we make to Stowe. We especially love eating on the covered porch. The staff are always so friendly and food exceptional. You can’t beat the location off the main street, parking can be a tad of a challenge, it’s limited in the back and street parking can be tight especially during peak times. I appreciate that you can book ahead, sadly not for the patio, that is first come, first served. This has deterred us in the past, unfortunately waiting over an hour is not ideal with a 5year old in tow. If you have not tried it you will not be disappointed!
I was able to get an 8 pm reservation day of and was very impressed. Love the upscale lodge atmosphere inside. The service was excellent to the point that wife commented on how on point it was (this never happens). The cocktails, apps, and entrees were all great. I would recommend the mushroom toast and ravioli. We are only in Stowe once a year but will come again next time.
This place was very decent. The website says no reservations needed for patio so when the we arrived on a Saturday at 5pm and went inside to find the host I figured I would ask for an inside table even though the online reservations said no availability for 3 weeks. They offered us our choice of tables so we ended up inside after all. Shrimp cocktail was just average but chicken piccata was fantastic. Profiteroles were also average. Service was great!
